New WAPO®Chlor electrolysis installed in Italy
In order to avoid possible incidents and at the same time also to counteract the current sharp rise in chlorine costs, several WAPO®Chlor electrolysis units were installed and commissioned in northern and central Italy for outdoor and indoor pool use.
The outdoor pool season has started in many countries and the high temperatures ensure high visitor numbers.
Despite efforts in maintenance work, chlorine gas incidents have occured due to leaking containers. Several undesirable reactions have occured after handling chlorine products. The effects have a deep impact on employees and visitors alike.
In order to avoid possible incidents and at the same time also to counteract the current sharp rise in chlorine costs, several WAPO®Chlor electrolysis units were installed and commissioned in northern and central Italy for outdoor and indoor pool use.
WAPO®Chlor Compact electrolysis are highly sustainable pre-assembled and pre-programmed models available for different needs. They provide on-demand production of 0.6 percent sodium hypochlorite solutions generated from diluted brine through electrolysis. The sodium hypochlorite solution produced on site is used as a disinfectant especially in swimming pool water treatment.
Considering that only water, salt, and electricity are needed, total savings of up to 70 percent compared to commercially sold hypochlorite solutions, calcium hypochlorite products, or even chlorine gas would be possible.
